As a young man, he also discovered ways of expressing his artistry through make up. He decided to pursue this avenue by researching the modeling industry in New York City, with hopes of becoming a make-up artist. Being able to work in the city gave him the opportunity to meet with well known modeling agencies and cosmetic companies. His first job was with a company from England, Mary Quant Cosmetics. He than met a national educator / platform artist for a major hair company. He apprenticed under ” Destyn Enzman” for five years. Destyn and Poane’ opened up a couple of salons which were very successful. This opened many doors for Poane’, he became a platform artist, and speaker for many events in the city. Working with women’s organizations, corporate events, secretarial schools, colleges etc., also worked on a TV segment called "PM Magazine".

At the early age of 15, Melvin Easley fully embraced business ownership by becoming an entrepreneur himself. This Memphis Tennessee native successfully built Personal Professional Pagers (PPP), a cellular phone and pager company, to assist everyday and other business people with managing the demands of life. PPP presented Melvin with the opportunity to develop his business management skills. Even though Melvin was the owner of the company, he prided himself with being able to perform all of the duties necessary in order for the company to run effectively. Melvin knew every facet of the business very well, but he became attached to the fields of advertising and marketing which he has been working in for the past 13 years.

In 1998, Melvin migrated to the Atlanta area to pursue other opportunities where his passion for business followed. He could be seen "getting the party started" by disk jockeying at some of Atlanta's hottest night spots to include, but not limited to, Club Esso, Club Last Call, and Insomnia. Being more than just a DJ, Melvin capitalized on the need for disk jockeys and entertainers to be appropriately paired with parties and special events by forming Evision Business Solutions in 2003. Evision Business Solutions, a full-service event planning, marketing and promotions company, has a very impressive client listing to include the NAACP, ESPN Zone, Hope Today Magazine and many more. When sought out by the owner and founder of Hope Today, Melvin not only assumed the position of Director of Advertising, but he also secured leadership for the Marketing and Customer Service/Packaging departments.

Melvin Easley's ability to have vision beyond sight makes him a powerful force within the entertainment industry. He genuinely has a soul for creating solutions.
